Privacy & your information
Updated October 5, 2026
This notice explains the Drive Off Smiling website presented by David Kett in Madison, Mississippi. It is a personal vehicle-shopping resource, not a credit application or a substitute for dealership transaction documents.
Your game-plan answers
Your answers generate a starting brief in your browser. You can see and download it without submitting contact information. Unsubmitted answers are kept temporarily in this browser tab using session storage, for up to 24 hours, so you can resume after closing the dialog or refreshing. They are not saved to David’s database until you submit them. Starting fresh clears the draft; closing the tab normally removes it. Your browser may retain autofill information under its own settings.
When you submit a request
Submitting the contact form saves your name, 10-digit phone number, optional email, reply preference, message, permission acknowledgement, and submission time in the website’s database. When you send a game plan, your survey answers, their priority order, and the generated paragraphs are saved with your request. David can search, categorize, review, annotate, delete, and export these records in a sign-in-protected dashboard restricted to him.
These details are used to respond to your vehicle inquiry and manage follow-up. Submission does not enroll you in automated marketing. Do not enter Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, credit documents, or identity documents. The site does not submit your information to a live AI service. A trends export contains only aggregate counts of preset choices, excluding names, contact details and free text. David can export records; any later use of external analysis services should be assessed for privacy and appropriate permissions before sharing.
Anonymous activity counts
The site counts actions such as game-plan starts, question views, completed plans, PDF downloads, and contact-link clicks in daily totals. These counters do not contain names, contact details, answers, or visitor identifiers. Browser activity counting respects supported Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Successful submissions are counted as part of saving the request. Temporary hashed request information is used to limit abuse, not link browsing activity across visits.
Private lead alerts
David can enable browser push notifications on his own devices. The site stores those device subscriptions and sends generic new-inquiry notices through the browser’s push provider. Alerts do not contain customer names, phone numbers, or survey answers; David signs in to read the saved request.
Friend referrals
The referral form saves the friend’s and referrer’s names, required phone numbers, optional emails, any voluntarily supplied vehicle and shopping details, permission confirmation, accepted terms version, and submission time. David uses the information to manage the introduction, contact the people involved about it, and track any qualifying $100 thank-you. Only share someone’s details after they have agreed to this introduction and contact from David. A referrer’s acknowledgement is not the friend’s consent to automated marketing.
Drafts, campaigns and corrections
Unsubmitted contact and referral drafts are kept in this browser tab for up to one hour; use Discard this draft to remove them. Campaign labels (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign) may be kept in the tab for up to 24 hours and saved with a submission. Do not place personal information in campaign labels. These labels help David understand which introductions and campaigns bring inquiries.
After submitting, you can correct contact details using private access valid for 24 hours. Keep the correction link private: anyone who has it can submit contact corrections during that period. David sees the previous value, replacement and time of each change. Corrections do not erase the original entry. Optional referral-credit names identify who may have sent you; they do not establish reward eligibility.
Duplicate submissions
The private dashboard flags shopper submissions with matching phone numbers or email addresses. A match is only a review aid: shared contact details do not prove that two people are the same. New submissions are kept separately, and no automatic merging takes place.
Security and retention
Stored submissions are not publicly viewable. Access to the dashboard and export endpoints requires David’s authenticated account. Hosting providers process and store the information to operate the website. A short-lived security cookie helps validate form submissions; limited, temporary, hashed request information is used to reduce abuse. No security measure guarantees absolute protection.
Submitted records remain until David removes them under his business practices and applicable obligations. For questions about retention, correction, deletion, or later sharing with dealership systems, contact David. Deleting a submission moves it and its change history to a private Recovery area and removes its queued alert record. David can restore it or permanently delete it. Recovery records have no automatic expiry and remain until permanently deleted. Separate contact-restriction records may be retained to help honor stop requests even if a submission is removed. Previously downloaded or exported copies and hosting-provider backups may remain separately; deleting a submission does not erase aggregate activity totals. No universal deletion deadline is promised here.
Website providers and external links
Hosting and access services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, and access logs. Private areas use ChatGPT sign-in; the hosting provider manages that authentication. Fonts are hosted with this website rather than requested from a separate font service. No advertising pixels or advertising-cookie code has been added to this website. This is not a claim about every cookie or record used by its hosting or authentication providers.
Links to Google reviews, the dealership, and messaging services take you to services with their own privacy practices. This website does not send your survey answers to those links automatically. Dealership processes, including any later financing application or entry into dealership systems, are governed by the dealership’s applicable notices and procedures.
Your choices and privacy questions
You can use the game plan without entering contact details, skip optional questions, and close the page without submitting a request. Call or text David at (601) 966-4562, or email david@driveoffsmiling.com, with a privacy question or a request concerning information you sent. Verification may be needed before acting on a request; available rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. If you no longer want a response about your inquiry, tell David through the same conversation or by phone.
This service is intended for adults shopping for vehicles. Do not submit information about children.
